Iron Bridge Wermouth (sic) Sunderland – Bridge 23
Attributed to Carr and Patton, North Shields
I've attributed most of these green-flecked jugs to Robert Maling. However, the items below belong to a small group of green-flecked wares that I have tentatively attributed to Carr and Patton at North Shields. They apparently copied their neighbour's decoration. However, on the North Shields items, the green enamel is more neatly applied in tear-drop shapes. See the Untitled Ship page for more details about this attribution.
Two larger jugs with three transfers. This group with green flecks don't have typical North Shields decoration to the handle.
Below two unusual variants with flower transfer around the collar.
A presumably later jug without the green flecks.
The frog in the mug below appears in other North Shields frog mugs.
