The transfer has been re-engraved with additional foliage. The bridge transfer on this jug has long masts in the distance, typical of imprints from the late 1830s to early 1840s.

Ian Holmes notes that the Darling rescue was 07 September 1838, which helps date this jug.  Note also the height of the masts on the bridge transfer.
