I by self I or Little Tommy's Soliloquy
Attributed to Scott of Southwick
This transfer is attributed to Scott on the basis of the pink lustre mug below, which has very typical Scott flower decoration.
I MY self says Tommy am the Man
Who rais'd those 'butments and who form'd that Span All Council I refused, it was my Care No Man on earth with me the Praise should share I told MY Men what I did undertake And let them know MY honour was at stake Now I have done what none beside ME Could I built that Bridge a Wonder to the World |
