Dixon, Phillips & Co, Garrison Pottery, Sunderland

The mug above has a Dixon Co impressed mark, used by Dixon, Phillips & Co after 1850.  It is the only marked example recorded to date and forms the basis of attribution for all of these distinctive items with month transfers framed in underglaze blue.
