Ashforth, Hardie & Co, Seaham Pottery, 1838–1840
The jugs on this page are attributed to Seaham on the basis of the jug below from the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens, Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums collection, which has an inscription 'Seaham Harbour'.
The Byron transfer on the jug above appears with Baker's bridge 5 transfer. NB Byron married Annabella Milbanke at Seaham Hall in 1815. So the pottery had more reason than most to celebrate the poet.
