The second figure in the foreground is easier to see on the mug below, which has a large naively modelled frog.

The jugs on this page all have horizontal strokes of pink lustre terminating the decoration on the handle, which is a signature feature of C,C & Co. The jug below has a 'Loss of Gold' verse with an erased factory mark for Collingwood & Beall North Shields – an earlier partnership at the Northumberland Pottery.
